L.D. Robinson Scholarship Fund

Jay and Diana Robinson Elder presented an impassioned presentation about the L.D. Robinson Scholarship and the man it honors.  Mrs. Elder, the daughter of L.D. Robinson, spoke of her fathers passion and direct involvement in bringing the FFA program in Katy to the forefront locally, nationally and internationally.  Mr. Elder also spoke of his time as a student of Mr. Robinson and the life lessons gleamed from such a noble man.

The scholarship fund is in honor of Mr. L.D. Robinson, founder of the Katy Livestock Show, Rodeo, Parade, and Ag Sciences Farm.  Teaching for over 44 years, the scholarship was established in 1970 by former students.  It provides $4000 scholarships, awarded over 4 years, to Katy ISD seniors involved in FFA and/or Ag-Sciences program to support any field of collegiate study.
