We will combine an assembly line process with an educational experience to make a huge impact worldwide and foster service within our Club and community.

Who: Rise Against Hunger and The Rotary Club of Katy Members, Families and Friends When: Saturday, February 11th Time: 8:00-9:00 AM for Setup Volunteers (10-12 needed) Time: 8:45-12:00 PM for Regular Volunteers (30-40 or more needed) Where: Katy ISD Professional Development Annex, 6361 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494 This a fun, family friendly event where we will work together at multiple stations to fill and package 10,000 meals with multiple grains and seasonings. Bring the kids and teenagers who need those volunteer hours. You may send any questions to me or Chris Garcia.

23 Mar 2023 Wild West Brew Fest Mar 23, 2023 - Mar 25, 2023 Our 11th Annual Wild West Brew Fest!! www.wildwestbrewfest.com March 23 K-Town Throw Down March 24 Launch Party March 25 Brewfest WWBF was founded by Katy Rotarians 10 years ago and is a member of the Brewers Association of America, Craft Brewers Guild, Texas Brewers Guild. We have been awarded the “#1 Beerfest in North America” for multiple years in a row. Most importantly, WWBF was volunteer created, is all-volunteer created, is all-volunteer run and 100% of all proceeds are given back to the local community in student scholarships and donations to charitable organizations. Since it’s inception, the WWBF has raised and donated almost $1 million!

15 Apr 2023 Take Me Fishing - Hutsell Elementary Apr 15, 2023 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM Volunteer to assist students and the Take Me Fishing Event at Mary Jo Peckham Park on April 15th During “Take Me Fishing Hutsell” students arrive with their parents and other family members for a morning of aquatic adventure. Students enter Mary Jo Peckham Park in Katy, Texas, and register with volunteers from Hutsell. After registering, families are escorted to a safety station where Texas Game Wardens provide educational tips and safety procedures. At the safety station, they also enter for a door prize drawing. Students can win fishing poles, tackle boxes, and various coupons donated by local businesses and restaurants. Students and families can borrow free fishing equipment to use during the morning, courtesy of Texas Parks and Wildlife, Fishing’s Future, Katy ISD, and Hutsell Elementary. After checking out fishing equipment, families can then take some bait to use. Hotdogs, chicken hearts, earthworms, and chicken livers are donated by local businesses so students can be able to fish for free. Texas Parks and Wildlife also signs a waiver which means that no participants need to purchase a license for the duration of TMFH. 15 Apr 2023 Take Me Fishing - Hustell Apr 15, 2023 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM *Take Me Fishing – Hutsell Elementary* We have lots of different areas for Rotary Club members to volunteer at. Door prize area: Where door prizes (most of which are purchased by the Rotary Club) are handed out to our students as they are leaving. I believe that Rotarian volunteers would love to be able to hand out prizes that come from the money that yall generously donate 😊 Pond Walkers: Who walk around while our students are fishing and they help them take fish off hooks and take them to get measured. Measuring Stations: Volunteers will measure the fish and record its data. Any of these volunteer positions will be great for Rotarian volunteers it just depends on each person’s level of comfort!
