British Int'l School
I grew up in a small Texas farming community and graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. In my early career I held various positions in community corrections, court administration, curriculum development and field training.
I have spent the last 10 years as an administrator at both college and independent school levels, heading up a variety of projects in the areas of school policy and planning.
I interviewed for the Director of Admissions and Marketing position at the British International School of Houston in 2009 and was immediately drawn to its micro-United Nations feel and incredibly stimulating environment.
Children here learn in a much more organic way and I wanted to be a part of the process that guides them towards their knowledge. Our school is not about the status or prestige of being an independent school, but all about the quality education we offer. I find great reward in working one-on-one with parents and prospective students throughout the world, helping to familiarize them with our academic programs while guiding them through the admissions and enrollment process.
I am the mother to a trio of sons who are all strong musicians and enjoy spending time with my family. When I’m not at the office, you'll often find me engaged in a home improvement project. In my spare time I also like to write and travel, and do both as much as possible.
