Economic Development in the Katy Area

Lance LaCour is President/CEO of the Katy Area Economic Development Council, Inc. (EDC). In his role, he is responsible for leading a full-service, private, non-profit, economic development corporation. Under his leadership, Katy Area EDC has received several awards from Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) including Economic Excellence recognition (2016, 2017, 2018) and the Community Economic Development Award (2014) for communities over 250,001 in population. Katy Area EDC was also recognized by Site Selection Magazine for being part of the Top 20 Deals in North America in 2014.
