Carl Little CEO - Houston Methodist West Oct 29, 2026 11:45 AM
Update on Houston Methodist West

Carl Little is a senior vice president at Houston Methodist and the CEO of Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital. He brings nearly 15 years of leadership experience within the system, including serving as vice president and COO at Houston Methodist Willowbrook, director of Business Development, and administrator in the Houston Methodist Physician Organization.

Little’s appointment follows the retirement of Wayne Voss, who led Houston Methodist West for almost two decades. Under Voss’s tenure, the hospital saw significant growth, including a $247 million expansion project and national recognition for its care quality.

In his new role, Little is committed to continuing the hospital’s mission of providing “unparalleled safety, quality, service, and innovation” while expanding services to meet the needs of the fast-growing Katy and West Houston communities. His leadership comes as Houston Methodist West is undergoing major upgrades, including a new 36-bed observation unit, four advanced operating rooms, expanded emergency department capacity, enhanced neonatal intensive care, and a modernized endoscopy suite.
